Indonesia has always been having problems with hygienity. We have 'dirty' stuffs everywhere, especially when you use public transportations a lot (i know i use it a lot). The pollution also doesn't help. You could get free radicals everywhere. The dust could stick on your body, and the sweat, the everything--yeah it all sucks.
Me, myself... I'm NEVER a fan of taking a bath. Taking a bath is just--how can i say it--unpleasant. Washing your body with cold water when you just want to sleep on the bed and eat chips, scrubbing all those dirt off... I just don't like it. But here's where the new product from Dove plays its part.
Dove has always been one of my fave bodycare brands. I am currently using their shampoo and conditioner, and it feels great, especially the conditioner. I mean, there are so many beauty products that emphasize on the "beauty" aspect only, but they usually forget the "care" part. Please, we all know that those beautiful girls in the ads are not "perfect"--they are airbrushed, or photoshopped, as we might say.
But Dove, they emphasize on real women (you know this advertisement, right? In Indonesia, we have this). You feel like you can connect with them, and that Dove is for--you know--"normal" people, like most of us.
So when i knew that Dove has just released a new product, a milk-based body wash, i was excited. I've always used a different kind of soap and it was so-so. So i immediately tried the product and i straightly love it. The smell was nice--i mean it's not too much and everything (just like what Dove always does)--and because it contains milk, the texture was really soft and smooth, like you're bathing yourself in milk (has anyone ever done this before? It's super nice).
Well, now that i'm in Japan, and the prices here are really high (4000 yen for a haircut? And not in a fancy salon? Typical), milk bath is not really an option. BUT, thank God i bring this new Dove product because it really feels like milk bath. In Japan, without spending any yen. How cool could that be?
But you know, like i said, i'm never a fan of bathing. Never was, never will. The Dove Body Wash also can't make me love bathing, BUT at least it made the experience better. I don't know how to say this, but it's already 'creamy' from the start, so you don't need so much to make your body squeaky clean, unlike one of those transparent gel stuffs (no offense here).
One of the important things in my luggage.
So, you can say that now the bathing activity is more interesting. Well, at least i spent 20 minutes in the bathroom. That's an accomplishment.
If you're not hooked enough, Dove is currently holding a testimonial contest called "Skinspirational Story". This contest is super simple. All you need to do is to make sure that you try the Dove Body Wash Better Milk, and create a testimony about it. The prizes are super cool: iPad 3, Samsung Galaxy Note, and a handful of free Dove Body Wash products! It's time for a new gadget anyway so do it now!
P.S.: i'm already in Jakarta right now and already miss Japan and the crazy Japanese people (sigh). Photos comin' up!
