There's always that time when you just don't really care about what you're wearing, but it's like you care, but you don't--get it?
I've had that feeling sooo many time. And i bet it's not just me. And people who experience this kind of thing must always have that one piece that just matches well with everything. For me, it's this denim jacket.
I actually found this in my mom's closet (moms are cool! But keep 'em out from your bedroom). The item just has that right amount of length, which falls right in the middle of your thigh. The fabric isn't that 'heavy' denim ones--it actually feels a bit like cotton. That's why it's perfect for people who live in Jakarta. We can't stand heavy stuffs (except if you're that kind of person who never takes the public transportation).
This jacket is also perfect for me who still want to look good (okay, okay, maybe not "good". "Proper", then) in times when i can't find anything in my closet (notice the italic mode in "anything"?). So i wore this twice last week--with a different style, of course. It's kind of amazing how you can create two different looks with just the same piece of clothing.
Anyway, i once read an article with some tips from a couple of respected fashion stylists, and one of them said that clothes don't need to be washed that often. Sometimes you don't even need to wash them in months, it's not as dirty as you think it is. And denim is included.
So... yeah i guess that's it. I'm having inceptions (no shit--real inception), my head is dizzy right now and i can't really find the right words to say. And i'm not even high. I'm just having too much potato chips.
If you follow my Twitter account (@PutriSoe), you might already know that i got an invitation from Sifr, a Singapore-based menswear line, to come to their showcase in The Goods Dept. Pacific Place tomorrow. One of the owner is actually from Indonesia, so it's kind of a way for them to say thank you. I'm also happy that they not only gave me a nice proper little invitation, but also a classic pima t-shirt! I thought pima is just a marketing plot, but NO, it's really SUPERCOMFY.
